FAQ & Policies

Every Montessori Makers Merch item is created on demand to reduce waste and honor sustainable practices. Below are our current policies for shipping, returns, and product care. By placing an order, you agree to the policies and terms outlined below.

Shipping & Fulfillment

  • All products are made to order and typically ship within 7-10 business days. Production or transit times may vary during holidays or high-demand periods.

  • Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

  • Montessori Makers Merch is not responsible for delivery delays caused by postal carriers, weather conditions, or customs processing.

  • International orders may be subject to import duties, customs fees, or taxes. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the product price or shipping cost.

Product Quality & Care

Our apparel and accessories are created using professional print-on-demand partners who maintain high standards of print quality and garment consistency. That said, slight variations in placement, color tone, or texture may occur and are considered normal in small-batch printing.

 

Care Recommendations:

  • Turn garments inside out before washing.

  • Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, with mild detergent.

  • Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.

  • Tumble dry low or hang dry.

  • Do not iron directly on designs.

Following these guidelines will help preserve print quality and garment life; however, normal wear, fading, and minor cracking over time are expected and do not constitute a defect. Montessori Makers Merch does not guarantee print or garment longevity, as care conditions and washing environments vary.

Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Because each item is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for size, color, or preference. Please review sizing charts and product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

We will, however, replace or refund items that are misprinted, defective, or damaged upon arrival. To request a replacement:

  1. Contact info@montessorimakers.org within 30 days of delivery.

  2. Include your order number, photos of the issue, and your preferred resolution (replacement or refund).

  3. Claims submitted after 30 days or without photographic evidence may not be eligible for resolution.

Replacements are subject to product availability; if an identical item is unavailable, a refund will be issued.

 

Montessori Makers Merch reserves the right to decline replacement or refund requests that do not meet these conditions or show signs of misuse, improper care, or unauthorized modification.

Cancellations & Order Changes

Because items are printed immediately after an order is placed, orders cannot be canceled or changed once production has started. Please double-check all details (size, color, shipping address) before checkout.

If you contact us within 2 hours of placing your order, we’ll do our best to intervene before production begins — though we cannot guarantee cancellation once the order is in process.

Damaged or Lost Packages

If your package arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us. We’ll work with our fulfillment partners to file a claim and determine the appropriate resolution.

  • Lost packages reported after 30 days from the shipment date may not be eligible for replacement.

  • Montessori Makers Merch is not responsible for packages marked as “delivered” by the carrier.

Liability Disclaimer

Montessori Makers Merch is not liable for:

  • Normal wear and tear or fading from washing.

  • Incorrect sizing selected by the customer.

  • Third-party handling (shipping carriers, customs).

  • Delays or interruptions caused by circumstances outside our control.

 

By purchasing from Montessori Makers Merch, you agree that our responsibility is limited to the cost of the product ordered and that we are not responsible for consequential or incidental damages arising from product use, shipping delays, or dissatisfaction.

What to Expect

Every piece is designed to be worn, shared, and loved — not preserved behind glass.
Slight variations, softening, and texture changes are all part of the life of a lived-in garment.

We promise craftsmanship and care, not perfection or permanence.
When you order from us, you’re supporting small-batch creativity, Montessori advocacy, and ethical production.
